Your own storefront, not a stall on Shopee
Marketplace stalls are how a lot of Malaysian SMEs sell, and they work. An e-commerce website is the other thing: a storefront you own, with your branding, your customer list and your margins — not a listing inside someone else’s mall.
Why an own storefront
On Shopee or a similar marketplace you rent attention and you share the customer. On your own site the catalogue, the checkout and the list of people who bought are yours. That is the work we mean by e-commerce website design in Malaysia.
It is not a company brochure with a WhatsApp button. It is a store: products, cart, payment, the unglamorous bits that have to keep working.
What we do not pretend
We do not promise you will outrank the marketplace, and we do not quote a package price on this page. The first conversation is whether you actually need checkout, or whether a company website plus the channel you already sell on is enough.
When a company website is the better first step
If you need to be findable and contactable, and you are not ready to take payment on your own site, that is a company website. Build the storefront when the store is the point.
